CPT:
CPT codes are used for Physician services
CPT codes are 5 digit Numerical codes without decimal point

HCPCS:
HCPCS codes are used for Non-Physician services such as Ambulance, Wheel Chairs, Injection and etc..
HCPCS codes are 5 digit Alphanumerical codes without decimal point, begin with Alphabet
